DANIEL GOGUEN – Traditional-Country Singer
Daniel Goguen is from Cocagne, New Brunswick and has been performing for more than 30 years. He has released 6 studio albums in French, and is currently working on a new English-album to be released in early 2024.
In 2014, his song “Les Backroads” was the #1 song of the year on the Acadian radio music charts. And the following year, his song “Finalement la fin de semaine” was the #1 song of the year. Daniel Goguen won the Stingray Traditional-Country Music Prize at the St-Tite Western Festival in Quebec in 2016. That same year, he was nominated for Album of the Year, and Male Vocalist of the Year at the French-Country Music Gala.
He’s been on three different country music TV shows, filmed by Radio-Canada, that have aired across Canada.
His style of music is traditional country and draws his musical influences from Merle Haggard, George Strait, and Alan Jackson. Daniel grew up on classic country music and that’s what he sings, and he sings it straight from the heart.
